Surprise Happy Birthday Hop for Jessica {Smile it's your Birthday!}

Today is a special day! The lovely and talented Jessica Knutsen, of There She Goes Stamps, is having a birthday!! Happy birthday Jessica!

To help her celebrate, her amazing friends have put together a SURPRISE Birthday Hop and my friend Meredith aka Crafty Math Chick, has invited me to be a part of it! Thank you so much Meredith!!

I decided to ink up a set I just picked up from There She Goes called, "Oh Snap"! It is a delightful set and FUN to colour!! I paired it with some pretty papers from Simple Stories called "Vintage Bliss".  I used the current MOJO Monday Sketch and I am also playing along with Simon Says Stamp (take a picture).

Happy Birthday Jessica!! Wishing you a special year, filled with adventure and happiness!!
To follow the hop, here is a linky with all the participants!

MUSE, Artful Delight, CAS on a Sunday & City Crafter {Celebrate Your Day}

Thursday is here and I am excited to be playing along with the current MUSE Challenge. This week's inspiration card is gorgeous! I love the colouring! All week I have been looking at different stamps in my stash and this one from "There She Goes" Stamps jumped out at me! So I inked it up and got colouring! The sentiment comes from "Paper Sweeties".

Sweet Stamp Shop & Color Throwdown {Congrats Smartie Pants}

There is a new challenge in blogland at the Sweet Stamp Shop called the "Use What You've Got Challenge" and it is a fun one! Basically, you need to go through your stash and find some old goodies to play with! My stash doth "overflowith" with unused delights and so I went to work!

First I looked at the colour challenge over at the Color Throwdown. The colours are in my Stampin' Up ink stash-Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight-mixed with black and white! So CHECK off the "hoarded supplies" stash list! Using "INK" from my stash.

Then I went through my 12 x 12 papers and found a piece of Wild Wasabi designer paper. I have no idea what paper pack it was from but it is not new, so I cut it up and created a mat for my stamped images. I am happy with how it turned out, and added a wee bit of Black and White Baker's Twine (need to order more soon) to the bottom of the card.

{Supplies Used}
Inks: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, (Summer Starfruit)  subbed in for Daffodil Delight
Papers: SU! DSP
Extras: Rhinestones, Baker's Twine

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger & CAS(E) this Sketch {Miss You} with TAWS

A couple of week's ago, I ordered these die cut Polaroid frames from the Paper Issues online store. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but when I saw the awesome sketch over at Case this Sketch and the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab, I immediately had a plan!!!

I was inspired by the Trigger Tuesday because of...
1. The bright colours-LOVE THEM!
2. The target (which is the theme of my card) being in a Polaroid frame, I am targeting in on the person I am missing.
3. And the arrow on my card, is going in the opposite direction of the plane...hence, the "miss you" theme, which was inspired by the jumbled up look to the dart board look.

{Supplies Used}
Inks: Black (Memento)
Papers: MME Boy Crazy, Baja Breeze (SU), Black, White (Flourishes)
Extras: Studio Calico Die Cut Frames, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, SU! Cupcake Punch (for the clouds)

Merry Monday #63 {Jingle All the Way}

Welcome to another week at Merry Monday! Each week I share a sketch and my wonderful design team put together Christmas cards to get you into the festive Christmas card making spirit!! All of us like to work ahead on our Christmas cards and so a team was born! We hope you will use the sketch and link up a Christmas card this week!!

This week I pulled out one of my favourite Stampendous Christmas stamps! I love cats and thought it would be fun to play along with the ABC Christmas Challenge to use "Jingle Bells" on your card!! I thought this image would be purrfect!

I kept my card pretty clean and simple but added a burlap circle to the bottom, it is a pre-made embellishment from Little Yellow Bicycle. My designer paper is from Simple Stories.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Stampendous
Inks: Copics
Papers: Crumb Cake, White, Simple Stories
Extras: Little Yellow Bicycle, Pearls

Paper Smooches, Paper Players & Ribbon Carousel {CAS Man Celebration}

I loved the sketch at Paper Smooches and wanted to create a clean and simple "Celebration" card. I am also linking up to the fun The Ribbon Carousel (Celebration) challenge. I also wanted to link up to the Paper Players "CAS Masculine Card".

I love the pennants in the My Guy set and paper pieced them for the card, I thought they could represent the little flags on the sketch. My baker's twine is for the polka dots below the main panel on the sketch.

Supplies Used
Stamps: Paper Smooches -Sentiment Sampler & My Guy
Inks: Black
Papers: Boy Crazy (My Mind's Eye), White
Extras: Baker's Twine

Paper Issues {Die Cutting Challenge}, Moxie Fab & CAS-ual Fridays

PaperIssues

Today over at Paper Issues, we have our new CURRENT ISSUE to get you inspired!!!

Come and play along with our DIE CUTTING Challenge!!!

Get out your dies and your die cutting machine and link up!! FUN!

I was also inspired by Moxie Fab World to play along with "The Card Set Challenge" and I created a set of Thank You cards for my sister's bridesmaids. My sister's wedding colours are neutrals mixed with a wine colour. She is getting married at a gorgeous winery this summer, we went there last weekend, it had beautiful scenery and flowers. (The wine was yummy too). So I created three special cards for her for each girl. The sentiment comes from Penny Black, I have had it forever and I love it.

I also liked the stamp on designer paper challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays which really got me thinking about making these cards, as I had this designer paper in my stash and I thought it would be a nice wedding background to these cards. I also used some vellum for under the flower...it is difficult to see in the photo but it does add to the elegance of the cards. I really hope she likes them!
